Solar energy efficiency a big issue in India
Solar energy generation and storage has been an issue in the country.
There is a need for energy storage that can be stored for future use and this is what energia Solar has developed.
The company, which has been in the market for a few years now, has partnered with the National Renewable Energy Agency (NREL) to launch a project in the southern state of Kerala to provide energy storage to power plants.
“Solar energy efficiency (SSE) is one of the key indicators to determine the energy density and efficiency of the grid,” said B.N. Rao, senior vice president, technology, energia.
“It’s a measure of energy density as it takes into account how much electricity can be generated by the electricity generation capacity and the energy stored in the batteries.”
The project will use the latest solar technology developed by energia, which is based on the process of energy conversion, where the solar energy is converted into the form of electrical energy.
This conversion is achieved through the use of lithium ions which are the basic building block of the lithium-ion battery.
The energy stored is then converted into electricity.
Solar energy storage is a technology that can help to save energy by storing energy in batteries, which can be used for generating electricity or for generating power when needed.
Solar energy storage reduces the energy required for the generation of electricity by up to 50%.
The technology is used by over a dozen companies in India.
According to Rao, energias solar energy storage technology will also be useful for power plants to provide renewable energy when it is needed.
Rao said energia has received a grant from NREL to develop the technology.
“We are looking at other technologies to meet the needs of power plants,” he said.
The project is part of the efforts by NREL and the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) to boost renewable energy, energy storage and clean energy by creating more than 10 million small and medium enterprises in the solar industry.
